The Penn Brad Oil Museum’s Fireside Pumpers Program for 2025

  The Fireside Pumpers program is open to the public as an educational outreach and fundraising effort by the museum. These breakfast meetings are all held at the Derrick City Diner, 563 Derrick Road, Bradford PA 16701 on the third Monday of the month. The breakfast begins at 8am and the program begins at 8:30. Sponsorships are available for each event through the museum’s treasurer at pennbradoilmuseum@yahoo.com. Apr. 28. “The ANFVB: History and Future Plans”, by Rustin Lippincott, director of the Allegheny National Forest Visitor’s Bureau, also called Trail Central. 

May 19. “Blaisdell Legacy”, by Ron Orris, director of the Blaisdell Foundation, with Jack Gorton and Taylor Tarahteeff. (Free copies of this book will be distributed.)

June 16. “Search and Rescue Bloodhounds”, by Rod Johnson, instructor for the National Police Bloodhound Association and member of the McKean County Sheriff’s Dept. (Bloodhounds will be in attendance too.)

July 21. “New Displays and Programs” by Bart Barton, president of the McKean County Historical Society. 

Aug. 18. “The Lumber Heritage Region”, PA’s largest Heritage Area (of which we are a part), by Rowan Crisp, Education and Outreach Administrator of the LHR.

Sept. 15.  “From Well to Market (Optimizing Refinery Products and Crude Supply)” by Brenda Fish, American Refining Group Regional Sales Manager.

 

Oct. 20 “Pennsylvania Strange”, the title of his new book, by Bill Robertson, author of the “Ghosts Revisited” series. 

Nov. 17 “The Year in Review” by Francie Long, manager of the Penn Brad Oil Museum.
